The metalworking industry comprises various industrial sectors, all of which have in common the processing and production of metal objects. Numerous processes in these sectors produce and release harmful and toxic substances that pollute the atmosphere. As in any other industrial sector, the issue of air treatment must always be assessed from the point of view of workers' health, environmental impact and quality of the production process. In the mechanical engineering industry, pollutants take the form of fumes, vapours, oily mists and dusts. Therefore, air treatment systems are required. They consisting of a capture system located near the source, an air distribution and discharge system regulated by air suction units equipped with specific filtration systems for the various types of pollutants.
